THANK YOUS FROM NEW MOMS!
"Dear Creative Caring Hearts, I recently had a baby girl at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca and was sent home with a giant bag of beautiful items from your organization! WOW! You guys are very talented and generous! I want to thank you.
Sincerely, Andrea H."

"Creative Caring Hearts, Thank you so much for the bag of girl clothes and blankets. We absolutely loved everything we received. It was our little girl's first gift bag! It certainly put a smile on our faces. Thanks again for all you do. What a wonderful group of people. You bring so much joy to so many people. Thanks again!!
Jenny, Tony, and Alexis

DON'T LETTERS LIKE THIS REALLY MAKE YOUR DAY! THANKS, EVERYONE!
THANK YOU TO COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
On September 14, I gratefully accepted a check for $2000 from the Community Foundation. As I write this, Mary Jo Feldmann is at JoAnn's Fabric in Appleton, purchasing polar fleece for swaddles, thread, and jersey knit fabric for gowns and onesies to keep us busy next month.
RIVERSIDE MEDICAL CENTER HOSPITAL AUXILARY
Creative Caring Hearts has been invited to be the "speaker" for the Hospital Auxiliary's October Luncheon on Thursday, October 7. They are also giving CCH a "baby shower". What fun we will have looking at the lovely items donated by the Auxiliary ladies when I bring them along to show you at our October 9 workgroup.
WHAT DO WE DO WITH SCRAPS OF FABRIC?
Despite our efforts to keep our fabric scraps to a minimum when cutting out our clothing, we still end up with scraps from tiny to fairly good-sized. Some of the ways we use those scraps include:
Reni G. makes little bears and elephants with polar fleece.
Mary Jo and Sue H. make hoods and sleeves for jackets that have printed polar fleece fronts and backs.
Jeanne C. and Char H. make mittens with polar fleece.
Booties from flannel and jersey knit fabric.
Anyone interested in taking on this project? We have a good pattern!
