Creative Caring Hearts is a not-for-profit organization of people who care about other people and have a desire to help them. We have chosen to do this by providing Layettes for newborn babies. The sizes of the clothing are approximately 0 to 3 months. We also provide baby blankets or quilts, a toy, and, believing that education begins at birth, we include a baby book, a per-reader obviously!
Some of us sew, some knit or crochet, some purchase new baby things from garage sales or elsewhere.
We serve the Waupaca and Stevens Point area; the hospitals involved are Riverside in Waupaca and St. Michaels to the babies they believe would benefit. We also donate via requests from new mothers or from friends of new mothers who can use a helping hand.
Membership is open to anyone who would like to volunteer to serve others in this way.
Creative Caring Hearts Core Beliefs
All babies deserve a happy, healthy start in life. Creative Caring Hearts can enhance that happy start with much-needed clothes and supplies.
*The baby items will be well-made, both in the use of good fabric and in the quality of construction.
*The items will be attractive and appealing, appropriate for a newborn.
*We believe education begins at birth, so we always include an infant's book with every layette.
